New Self-Help Guide: A Single Girl's Pocket Guide to Life, Career, and Dating

When I was entering college, there was a lot that I didn’t know and I wish I would have been given more information prior to starting and honestly during my time in college as well. There were some things I didn’t get right, some things I stumbled through, but thankfully I come out okay on the other side of it. When I was starting my career, there was a lot that I didn’t know or that I questioned. In my second job after college, I thought that my manager would be watching me close enough to know what I was doing well in and would give me a promotion because they saw me killing it. The promotion came, but it was a lot later than I thought it should have been. I had to start advocating for myself to get where I wanted to go and I had to start tooting my own horn about my accomplishments and how I was adding to the organization. This guide is the advice and a few affirmations that I wish someone would have told me before college, during college, and earlier in my career. It’s not all career focused though. I do have some advice on dating. It’s not perfect, but it would have helped me and I hope that it’ll help someone out there in the world as well.
